Arthos, Porthos and Aramis were called the three musketeers. We’re sure you’re familiar with them: ‘One for all, all for one!’ – a close-knit community. In 1624, according to Alexandre Dumas, they travelled through the lands. They are on their way to a secret meeting with d’Artagnan in the Welschgufel at the top of the lower Buechlet.

Irgendwo zwischen Abstraktion und Figürlichkeit stürmen die drei Musketiere den Abhang hinunter. Warum haben sie nicht eins der Schiffe genommen? Der Weg über den See war damals Teil der Route von Zürich über den Splügenpass nach Mailand.
Warum haben sie den beschwerlichen Fussweg über den Garadur gewählt? Eben, weil das Treffen so geheim … Es ist derart geheim, dass nicht einmal ich es weiss, der die ganze Geschichte erfunden hat.

Ein Mensch ist ein Individuum, zwei sind ein paar, drei sind eine Gruppe, ein Team. In diesem entwickeln sich unterschiedliche Charaktere. Je länger die Freundschaft dauert, desto mehr kristallisieren sich Rollen aus.
Der eine wird zum Schönling, der andere zum Lebemann und der dritte zum Weisen. Zu dritt würden sie sich zu einem perfekten Individuum ergänzen, wenn sie nicht selbst schon Einzelpersonen wären.
One person is an individual, two are a couple, three are a group, a team. Different characters develop within this group. The longer the friendship lasts, the more roles will crystallise.
One becomes the beau, the other the bon vivant and the third the sage. Together, they would form a perfect individual if they weren’t already individuals themselves.
